Ideas for what to post...

Hey All!

If you are having trouble thinking of something to post on our writer's blog try this:

• Write a review of something you liked (or hated, that would be interesting).
  
• Post something that you already wrote, even if you have a class writing assignement you were particularly proud of, that would be great!
• Post a picture you took and write about it.
• Just start typing and see where it takes you!

Since I am not immune I will write a review for you guys...

DEATH NOTE!!

Death Note is the BEST manga series I've read so far, hands down. It has everything you could want in a manga series, mystery, comedy, SUSPENSE, pretty boys with effeminate features and beautiful girls, not to mention, Shinigami which are GODS OF DEATH. Plus it ends after 12 volumes which is a wonderful thing if you hate constantly waiting for the next book (ahem...Bleach & InuYasha). The artwork is amazing too, not too simple and not too gory, but there are deaths, lots and lots of deaths!

The premise is that Light, a seemingly normal Japanese high schooler, finds a book with a set of rules. The rules read "whosoever's name is written in this death note shall die". Light decides to use this notebook for good and begins to kill criminals, however, this begins to attract a lot of attention. Light, who is now referred to as Kira (savior of the world) comes under the suspicion of the greatest detective alive, L. Who will win? Who is right?

This manga touches on a variety of issues as well as being an incredible story! I recommend this series to everyone who'll listen.
